1897 Carcano 1891 - Vintage Commercial Sporterization, Great Condition!
No reviews have been written for this product.
1897 production Carcano rifle. Produced by Terni, this is a typical example of one of the many thousands of "mail-order" sporterizations done by a number of importation companies in the 1950s and early 1960s. In this case, this meant chopping down the barrel to the length of the Carcano short rifles, cutting down the stock, and moving the front sight post back. This particular example is in much better condition than most, showing residue from the waxed bag it was stored in but no serious damage of any kind. Bore and wood are both very clean, finish is strong albeit with small spots of oxidation under the rear sight and at the muzzle. An original clip is included.
